Online Therapy

Who has the time??

You’re too busy!

Plus, you can’t take more time off work, and getting out of the house after work seems almost impossible: the traffic, the exhaustion, the demands of family and children…

How on earth are you supposed to make it to a weekly or every other-week appointment?

Isn’t the point of therapy to manage stress, NOT create more??

Well, we can do it differently!

You don’t have to use PTO, sit in traffic, or even get out of your pajamas!

Online therapy removes so many obstacles from getting the care you need, and you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home (or office).

Even if we meet regularly in person, online therapy is always an option for those last-minute situations when you can’t get away on time!

Are you wondering whether it works?

Actually, research suggests that online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy and is often preferred by clients.

While some people worry that we might lose non-verbal communication from being online, as long as we have a good Internet connection, we can actually see each other’s faces better online. We can better pick up on those non-verbal cues. Also, we can share screens and resources more easily online.

Another plus, I love meeting my client’s pets, which I don’t ever get to do in the office!

So, it does work… but how?

Online therapy works a lot like in-person therapy. We talk about the same things and use the same therapeutic modalities (yes, even EMDR).

But you don’t have to worry about running around, traffic, and time.

I use a HIPAA-compliant platform for virtual sessions, so your information remains secure and confidential in an online world.

Once you schedule, all you have to do is click a link, and I will come to you!

Making the most of your online experience…

Here are some tips:

  • Use a computer, tablet, or phone with a strong Internet connection.
  • Be hands-free! This will improve your focus and allow me to see you better.
  • Find a quiet, well-lit, and private space. Close windows if there is noise outside and turn off music or television.
  • If you join in from your car, please make sure you are parked. No driving, please! Many clients use their car to get privacy from a busy family home or the parking lot on their lunch break at work. Wherever you are, just make sure you have good cell service.

Help is just a click away!
